Camps and Clinics
As many of you have seen, athleticism is only one of the ingredients for creating a great
water polo player. The second, and most important part, is practice through dedication.
I hope that every athlete who participated this year and hopes to participate competitively
again next year will choose to play year round water polo. In reality, this means that each
athlete would play a short competitive water polo season outside M-A in the winter, return
to M-A for the spring swim season, and then participate in a competitive summer season.
This level of commitment will allow M-A to reach the next level.
There are a number of programs in the area that are available to the athletes to continue
improving in the sport of waterpolo during the winter and summer months. Ultimately, it is
your decision what club is best for you. I ask you to weigh the true merits of any program
before you join and to seriously consider how you can maximize the positive results for you
as an individual athlete through your time spent participating in the sport. If you have any
further questions please e-mail me at csrubin280@hotmail.com, and I will do my best to answer
them.
